friday faves

Love this daily brights satchel from anthro

Adore these bridesmaids dresses

How awesome are these cardboard faux logs? And guess what? They are diy!

Love these shelves. Who would have thought to put wallpaper on floating shelves?

wrp

This post was supposed to be about my new amazing product in my shop that was going to get so many views and sell out instantly...well that didn't happen. Mainly because I didn't get anything new listed. You would think that promising you all something new in a week would keep me accountable but it didn't. I am still trying to make the most use out of the little time that I have.

I did get a new paper cutter this week! I got my old one for my birthday this past year and it has seen better days. I could only cut through one paper at a time so it would take me forever to do a large custom order. Now with my new cutter I can cut through multiple layers. That is my favorite thing.

I was very happy to see this large box at the front door!

Here it is! It's a CARL 12210 Bidex heavy-duty rotary trimmer. I like it so far. Hopefully it will stay that way. Now I just need a big custom order :)

wedding wednesday

we registered for wedding gifts about a month ago. we wanted to do it while i was still in lubbock.
here are some of my favorite things that we registered for and i am excited about!

there are from target:

these are from bed bath and beyond:

and these are from wal-mart:

in case you don't know i am from a smallish town in west texas. aka there is no crate and barrel, macy's, or pottery barn nearby. hence the reason we registered at target, walmart, and bed bath beyond.

m&w

m got his passport last week! this means w doesn't have to go by herself on their honeymoon to mexico! w thinks it will be much better with m there. :)

m watched the rest of dexter season 2 without w. he started out just watching one episode and w was going to catch up but then he couldn't stop watching...now w have a lot to catch up on.

m got to hang out with everyone in lubbock last night. :( w went to bed at 10.
w worked a lot. and by a lot she means 48 hours. that is a lot for w.

w has already spent some of her first paycheck that she hasn't received yet. she got a paper cutter that she will tell you more about later.

w has been trying really hard to get new things listed in the shop. hopefully by thursday she will.
m&w talked on the phone a lot because they were a part most of the time.

m&w did see each other for 5 hours on sunday. w wishes it would have been longer.

m&w are exactly 5 months away from the big day. they need to get to work

weekend recap

So my weekend didn't start until 5pm on Saturday. Gotta love working on Saturdays. Anyways Saturday night I pretty much just watched tv and went to bed early. I need to be more useful with the small amount of time that I have to get things done.

Sunday was exciting because Matt was on his way back to school and stopped by for 5 hours! And we finished our save the dates! Of course when he is here I have to put him to work! :) All I need to do is address them now. Pictures will be coming as soon as I send them out.

Hope you had a good weekend!

five friday finds

Every Friday I am going to post 5 awesome things that I have found around the internet. I love it when I find something way cool and am excited to share it with you every friday!

These wooden disks made into key chains are so neat. I would have never thought to do something like that but am now tempted to try it myself!

I absolutely love these iphone cases from this shop on etsy. found via here.

Loving this bedroom. There is just something about it.

How cute are these dolls? These would make the perfect gift for a little girl.

I have a thing for old suitcases and I adore this suitcase turned nightstand.

Hope you enjoyed this! Have a great weekend!

2011 goals for wrp

After graduation I had this huge plan to really grow my shop. Enter 8am-7pm job. Now I feel like I am going to have no time to put into wrp. I still want to list new things and keep it going but it is going to take much more time and effort than I had originally planned. I recently ordered 250 bubble mailers so I need to put those to use and ship out orders!

As I look back at the goals I made on October 28th, I feel like I didn't try hard enough and therefore did not accomplish them. I did not get on the front page again, I did not list 3 new things each month, but my views did increase for November but went way down in December.

I think that the key thing that I need to do is list new things! That is my only goal for wrp for right now. I need to focus on creating and listing new items.

By this time next week I hope to have something new in the shop.

That is all.

dress shopping and stamps

I accidentally posted this last night...for some reason the scheduling thing for posts doesn't work if you put 2010 in for the year. Not used to it being 2011 yet.

(even though i don't look too happy in that picture i was really happy to be dress shopping!)

Every wednesday from now until the wedding I hope to post something wedding related! I know I'm not the first person to have wedding wednesday but oh well...

Shopping for a wedding dress is exhausting! and i didn't really try very many on. well about 8. and i really only tried on one ugly one. (it was bad). I had so much fun with my mom and sisters. At the beginning it was really hard to decide if a dress was the one or not becuase I liked them all! Except for the ugly one. But then when I put the last one I knew it was for me! There were no tears or anything but I knew that I loved it!
I really wish I could show you all the dresses I tried on but matthew reads this and I don't want him to see any of the dresses I tried on until after he sees me in the dress...which will be on June 11th.

In other news, I am obsessed with vintage stamps for invitations.

like these from here
Aren't they lovely? I plan on starting to collect these soon. well I may have found some on ebay and Imay have bid and won them today! Just a few! I can't wait for my collection to grow even more!

p.s. working until from 8am-7pm stinks...in case you didn't already know.

currently reading

I have always loved to read. When my mom got a kindle last year I decided that I must have one too. So I asked for one for Christmas. I am loving it! It makes reading so much more convenient for me and I like how when I finish a book I can start another one right away! Here are some of the books I currently have on it and am in the process of reading. (I scored a ton of amazon gift cards for chritmas too! Gift cards make me really happy!)

I have only read a couple of chapters of this so far but it is really inspiring me!

I have heard a lot about this book so I thought I would give it a try. So far it's pretty good. Haven't really gotten into it yet.

I am a little embarrassed to say I am reading this book but I really like to read about real people's lives. I was watching ellen one day and portia de rossi was on there talking about this book. This is the book I have read the most of.

I haven't started this one yet but it is sitting on my kindle waiting for me. I am really excited to start it.

christmas and new years

I had a wonderful Christmas and New Years and I hope you did too!

I spent Christmas day at home with my mom and younger sister, Kelsey. I got a kindle and Kelsey got a Wii! We had waffles for breakfast and had a pretty relaxing day. Played the Wii and read some and took a couple of naps! It was very nice. And my mom made fudge which is my favorite!

I take lots of pictures of food for some reason. :)

After church on Sunday we drove to Round Rock to have Christmas with my older sister and brother-in-law, Jessi and David. Of course we brought the wii along. While in Round Rock we did a little shopping and went wedding dress shopping! It was a lot of fun! I am so happy I found a dress. I can't wait to show it off, too bad I have to wait for like 5 months. We go back in February to pick it up.

My best friend from high school got married on new years day and I was honored to be apart of her wedding.

Me and Becky at her rehearsal dinner.

Bridesmaids
I was not a very good picture taker that day and this is pretty much the only picture I have of Becky. She looked beautiful! I am so so happy for them!
