it's friday!!

Tom's came out with their new fall shoes! If you didn't already know, I love Toms! Every time they come out with new ones I want a new pair! Here are some of my faves: And here are my favorite boy ones. I think I am going to have to convince Matthew to get some or get him some for the next gift-giving occasion!

This post yesterday at apartment therapy was about file boxes to display, but I couldn't stop looking at what was above the very stylish box.

How awesome are those vases with the frame around them? I need to find a pair of those cool vases soon!
Hope you have a good weekend! I am going to be listing something new in my shop so be sure to go check it out later!

obsession

I have an obsession with antlers and deer heads. Not the real ones....the fake ones. Every time I see a room with one of those really cool fake white deer heads I am in love. And those antler chandeliers are amazing! Here are some pictures of what I am talking about:
This deer head is from zgallerie. It is only $49.95! At that price I just might have to get one someday!
This antler chandelier is from dwr.com. For $5,900 this light could be yours! Yeah I know that is a lot but I am sure there are other options out there. I found a lot of more affordable brown/natural ones, but I really like the look of the white one. Maybe a coat of white spray paint could solve that problem!
Enough of my deer head obsession for now.
I found this cool kitchen today over at apartment therapy.
I love this kitchen. It belongs to a chef. I love the wall color with the white back splash and the wood floors. Oh and did you see that sink in the back and do you remember my obsession of sinks? Amazing! I would take this kitchen any day! Not sure what I would do with such a huge stove with all those knobs, but I am sure I could figure out something.
That's all for today! Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. Have a good day!

i love paper

In case you might have not already known...I love paper! There is just so much you can do with paper! I found this really cool paper today and I want to order some immediately (but I won't).
lcipaper It is textured to look like wood grain! I love it in the brown and white! Now I am going to have to find some reason to buy some and put it to use! If you have any ideas let me know!
I also found this really cute dress. It is from Ruche. I found this shop on this blog (which I love). For some reason lately I have really been liking the one shoulder dresses & this one is perfect.

Hope you have a good Tuesday!

monday

Here are some really cool wall treatments that were on apartmenttherapy.com. I love all of them, especially the stripes which would be the easiest to do!

Today was the last Monday of my internship! I am so happy that next week I don't have anything to do except work on my etsy stuff! So be ready for some new cool things on there!

friday

A couple of days ago Young House Love posted this. Seven cheap ways to crisp up a room. I love how easy these seven things can be done and that they have such a big impact. You should look at!
Ali Edwards posted about her trip to Italy. She wrote about things that she wanted to remember about the trip. I really like how short and simple the "I want to remember..." sentences were. Journaling about a trip doesn't require a thick journal, an hour a day and a cramping hand. Think about what you want to remember most and write down a couple of sentences about it and maybe take a picture of it. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I want to remember the places I go and the things I see. So by remembering to keep it short and simple will help me to do it more.
I have always liked how a group of picture frames of different sizes and shapes look when placed together on a wall. It is such a big impact for not a huge price. If you want a more uniform look you can find cheap frames that might not be the same color and paint them all the same color, like this:YHL
Or if you want a more eclectic look you can leave the frames how they are like this:
I love both ways! So happy today is Friday! Hope everyone has a good weekend!

today

I love this couch. I found it here. I love that two people can lounge on it comfortably and that it still looks really good (not like other sectionals).
Also, you should read this blog post. In my mini summer book I have a picture of a little girl from compassion.com and next to it I wrote that I wanted to sponsor a child through compassion by the end of the summer. Well it has been in the back of my mind and for some reason I have been putting it off so reading this post inspired me to just do it. I am now sponsoring a little girl from Thailand. There are some really cool stories in the comments.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

daily findings times two

Since I didn't post anything that I found yesterday I am going to do double today, so get ready.

The main reason I am doing these posts is because when I find something cool, I want to share it and also I want to remember it myself. Out of all the things I see everyday it is hard to remember things I like and want to use someday. So by doing these I will always have a place to look back and remember cool things I saw!

I love this dress. I found it on this blog and you can buy it here. Ruche has a lot of cute clothes and the prices aren't too bad.

I am loving these postcards. I found them via this blog. They feature 100 different book jackets published by Penguin. You can preorder them here.

How cool would they look displayed like this? Maybe with some personal pictures mixed in as well.
They even show how they made these ledges.

These mirror vases are so cool! I found them here.
I think these would look good as a centerpiece. Maybe 3 or 5 of them lined up in the middle of a table. They show you how to make them on the blog. I love finding cool and easy tutorials!

Here is another awesome tutorial I found. This is such a cool ottoman. You could even make it a little bit skinnier and use it as a bench for a table or at the end of your bed or under a window. The options are endless!

And if you use an existing table to make it of it can be pretty affordable to make.

So there you go! Hope you enjoy!

birthday week

Here is the purse I bought myself for my birthday. It's a lot darker then what the picture shows. I am loving all of its pockets.
The morning of my birthday my mom made me some banana nut muffins and wrapped them up really cute. I took them to work in a brown paper sack. It was perfect.

For lunch Kelsey came and picked me up and took me to Rocky's. It was good. After that we went to get snow cones and I got peaches and cream (my favorite) and it was not good for some reason. Big A's usually doesn't disappoint.

After church and dinner at Spanish Inn my mom gave me my presents along with some yummy chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese icing!

I took work off on Friday because we left to go to Round Rock that day! Harley came with us. He is a good travel dog.

We met up with Matt's family at Cheesecake Factory on Friday night. Dinner was good. Cheesecake was really good. Overall I think it went pretty well.

Here is everything else I got for my birthday! Kelsey made me that mini book. It is so sweet. It is filled with pictures and sweet words. I got the blanket and bath and body works stuff from Matt's parents. The cutter is from Jessi and David, and everything else is from Matt. We watched Remember Me Friday night. I thought it was really good. Saturday night we watched the Celine Dion movie. It was 3 hours of amazingness!

Saturday morning me, Kelsey, Matt, David, and David's brother Matt went cliff jumping! Everyone jumped but me because it was a little too scary for me and I don't like heights, but I enjoyed watching them jump!

It was a very good birthday week/weekend!

four pillows and two rooms

These four pillows are from gilt.com and are thomaspaul. I love them so much! They are on super sale and the first two are already sold out! I would love to design a room around one of these pillows. They range from $30-$45. Regularly $74-$100. I found them via this post from apartment therapy. The colors of the pillows are my favorite colors!
I also saw this room at apartment therapy. I love the colors in it. And the piece above the fireplace is really cool with the flowers in front of it. I also really really like the wood print in the back.

I found this room at design sponge. I love the color palette and the birds on the wall above the couch. I may need to find some birds like that.

I hope you enjoy!

I will have a post with pictures about my birthday week soon! Be looking for it!

daily finding

I discovered this blog yesterday (yes this makes 89 blogs on google reader now). I am now in the process of reading it from start to finish. I tend to do that when I find a really good blog with really good information. There is so much to see here and so many good ideas. I love their house tour pictures. They did an amazing job redoing their house and they have documented the whole thing on their blog! Here are some before and after pictures of their house. All photos and more befores and afters found here.

I love the last transformation. It's my favorite. A little paint goes a long way. Looking at these pictures and reading about how they did everything makes me want to buy a fixer upper house someday.

daily finding

Becky Higgins is pretty much amazing. I love her product Project Life.
She posted this picture on her blog today and I love what she did with these framed pictures. She used command picture hanging strips to hang the 6 pictures. I love the yellow frame and the wallpaper behind the pictures. Such a cool idea.

Another cool thing I saw today is this sink:

I love everything about it. I sort of have an obsession with sinks. I absolutely love the front apron sink. Like this one:

There is one at Ikea that I swoon over every time I go there. It is pretty much amazing. I couldn't find a picture of it though. I will have it someday.
